Questions
How do I restore my purchases?
Open Underglass, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought with. Your purchases come back on every iPhone signed in to that account, at no charge.
How do I cancel Underglass Pass?
In Underglass, go to Settings and tap Cancel Pass. Or, in the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Underglass Pass.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or before a free trial ends, to avoid the next charge. You keep the Pass until the end of the period you've paid for. Anything you bought on its own, a pack or Lifetime, stays yours.
Apple handles refunds. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes. Packs, Lifetime and Underglass Pass are shared with your Family Sharing group. A family member opens Underglass and, if their widgets are still locked, taps Restore Purchases in Settings.
For the Pass, Share with Family must be on for that subscription. In the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Underglass Pass.
Why doesn't Heat show a temperature?
iOS doesn't give apps your iPhone's temperature. What it gives is a thermal state, one of four levels, which Underglass shows as Cool, Warm, Hot and Critical.
Any app that shows your iPhone's temperature in degrees is guessing. Underglass shows only what iOS reports, with the time it was read, and its history marks which stretches were actually watched and which are single readings.
My widgets aren't updating.
Clocks are always live: they keep the time themselves. Every other widget is redrawn when iOS allows it, and iOS limits how often. That's why each one shows when its reading was taken ("updated" or "as of").
- Opening Underglass takes a fresh thermal reading and, if you allow it, checks your location. Any widget whose information changed is redrawn.
- Low Power Mode and turning off Background App Refresh (Settings › General) make iOS refresh less often.
- Weather needs your location allowed, or a town chosen in Underglass › Settings › Weather, and an internet connection.
- Calendar widgets need Calendar access. Choose which calendars they show in Underglass › Settings › Calendar.
- A widget from a pack you don't own shows a locked preview until you buy the pack, or get the Pass or Lifetime.
If one still won't update, remove it and add it again. If that doesn't help, write to us.
